About Fair Measure
Fair Measure covers cafes, restaurants, pubs and bars, bakeries, butchers and caterers; florists, photographers, celebrants, function venues, jewellers and funeral directors; vets, groomers, boarding kennels and dog trainers; and phone and computer repairers, laundries and caravan parks, with a list for every town, suburb and state where enough of them are rated.
Every business gets the same fair measure: one published method, refreshed on the first of each month.
Fair Measure ranks Australian cafes, restaurants, vets, florists, photographers, repairers and other local businesses by their Google rating, adjusted for how many reviews stand behind it, so a handful of perfect reviews doesn’t outrank hundreds of strong ones.
Fair Measure is run by the Fair Measure team and has been published since 10 October 2026. It lists 45,299 businesses in 2,698 lists, with figures as of October 2026.
Ratings, review counts and opening hours come from Google Business Profiles. The year a business started comes from its own website.
